Andrew Robinson - HomeTheaterReview.com on the Noble Fidelity L-85 LCRS In-Ceiling Loudspeaker
Noteworthy quotes from Andrew Robinson, Editor in Chief, HomeTheaterReview:
“Right off the bat the L-85 LCRS proved to be explosive, possessing lightening fast reflexes that made for a dynamic performance that came from nowhere and shook me off guard.”
“…the L-85 LCRS's overall sound was a lot closer to that of a large open baffle or, dare I say, panel speaker than a traditional cone and dome design; no boxy resonances, bloat or romanticism here.”
“The most impressive aspect of the L-85 LCRS's performance was the large, open soundstage that appeared in front of me. Despite being mounted in my ceiling, the L-85 LCRS still cast a soundstage that sounded, more or less, like it was coming from speakers mounted in line with my ears. The L-85 LCRS's soundstage was wide and extremely deep and possessed surprising focus… …Lead vocals hung effortlessly in space yet were rendered front and center with lifelike scale and weight.”

Jim Swantco - HomeTheaterReview.com on the Noble Fidelity L-82 In-Wall Loudspeaker click to read
"...Regarding space, I was also surprised at the soundstage, which the Nobles were able to create from a flat wall. It extended well beyond the speakers to either side.
Even more surprising to me was that it seemed to begin well inside the wall. Robert Plant's "In the Mood" from the Principle of Moments album (Es Paranza) played smooth and relaxed. Plant's vocals hovered several feet in front of the wall, while instruments were placed within.
The soundstage was spread wide across my living room and sounded natural, whether outside the sweet spot or even in the adjacent kitchen. Over several weeks of listening, I am glad to report that I never experienced any listener fatigue. Since the Nobles were so conveniently located in my living room, I realized how much more time I spent listening to and enjoying music.
...Compare these Noble Fidelity L-82s with some of the best in-wall offerings from the likes of Sonance, Speakercraft, Paradigm, B&W, PSB and RBH..."

Gary Altunian - stereos.about.com on the Noble Fidelity L-82 C Indoor/Outdoor Loudspeaker
''the L-82 C speakers have a bigger, bolder musical presence than any outdoor speaker I've heard. The sound quality of the L-82 C is more like a mid-sized bookshelf speaker than a typical outdoor speaker. Fuller bass response, clear and open midrange and detailed high frequencies make these speakers stand out....''

''...the sound quality was astounding. With superb bass definition and speed, articulate midrange, and fantastic soundstaging, I was honestly shocked by the sound quality delivered by the $650 per pair loudspeakers. They are definitely worth an audition when adding in-ceiling loudspeakers to your home.''
